I originally got into yoga as a way to fill a void when I stopped dancing. I had done ballet, tap, and drill team into college and when that all stopped, group fitness at the gym didn’t cut it. Adult dance classes didn’t feel right, either. I quickly found my new home, and lifelong favorite form of “exercise” with yoga, and have been practicing and teaching consistently since 2007. Yoga is my sanity. When I’m physically feeling fidgety or creaky, yoga smooths all of that out. Yoga has been my haven to deal with stress and emotions, and is often a “body prayer”.
