Quinn Ray is a yoga teacher, studio owner, and embodiment of what it means to transform your life from the inside out. Long before she was teaching classes, opening her own studio, or guiding students on retreat, Quinn began her journey like so many others do—simply looking for a way to feel better. When she first found yoga, she was 100 pounds heavier and in a chapter of life that felt heavy in more ways than one. She wasn’t confident in her body, she doubted her own strength, and she questioned whether change was even possible. What she found on the mat became the foundation of a new beginning.
Yoga became Quinn’s turning point. It was never about becoming perfect or performing; it was about coming home to herself. Each practice offered something new: the first time she held a pose she thought she couldn’t, the first time she allowed herself to rest without guilt, the first time she truly heard her breath. Through these moments, she didn’t just lose physical weight—she released emotional weight as well. She gained confidence, clarity, and a renewed sense of direction. She began feeling stronger, lighter, and more connected to her body. Over time, she realized that yoga wasn’t just reshaping her life; it was rewriting her story.
Inspired by that transformation, Quinn pursued her yoga certification and became a teacher in 2022. Teaching was never just a professional step; it was an act of gratitude. It was her way of honoring what yoga had given her by passing it on to others. She knows what it feels like to walk into a studio unsure, intimidated, or curious about whether yoga is “for you.” She builds her classes around the belief that yoga is for every body, every background, every journey, and every stage of life. With compassion at the center of her approach, she teaches in a way that invites students to explore what they’re capable of without pressure or comparison.
Today, Quinn is also the proud co-owner of Horizon Hot Yoga—a space built on welcome, warmth, and permission to grow. Her teaching style blends structure and softness, discipline and acceptance, strength and surrender. She aims to help students build confidence not just in their poses, but in themselves. In her classes, and in her studio as a whole, progress matters more than perfection.
Quinn teaches because she understands transformation not as an abstract concept, but as lived experience. She knows what it feels like to be uncomfortable in your body. She knows what it feels like to doubt your own potential. And she knows the extraordinary moment when that doubt begins to shift into belief. Her greatest joy as a teacher is witnessing those moments in others—the spark of pride, the breath of relief, the realization that change is possible and joy is not only allowed, but deeply deserved.
Quinn’s mission is to help people feel more at ease in their bodies, more confident in their abilities, and more connected to their lives. Her journey is proof that you can start anywhere, at any time, and build something beautiful from it. Yoga changed her life—not only by helping her lose 100 pounds, but by helping her gain something far more meaningful: trust in herself and the unshakable belief that she can do anything she sets her mind to. She teaches in hope that others will discover that truth within themselves, too.
Originally from Indianapolis, Quinn grew up in Chicago, and spent 7 years living in Aspen, Colorado. She graduated from Loyola University Chicago in 2007 with a degree in Political Science. Quinn moved to Texas with her husband, David, in 2008 and has lived in Celina since 2017. She have 2 sons, Rylan and Jacob, and is a successful real estate agent with Coldwell Banker Apex in Frisco.
