Meditation for Peace & Healing

Sunday August 23rd from 10:30 to 11:30 AM, $15 per person

Join us for a traditional meditation and savasana focused on peace for our world in crisis. This workshop includes 25 minutes of sound bath relaxation. (OMazing crystal singing bowls will bring you a deeper relaxation and connection.) 35 minutes of the class will be devoted to meditation and elements of Kundalini yoga where you will connect to the energies of the sun, moon, earth, and the entire Infinite Spirit to ignite deep healing and peace. This class is led by “AJ” Amy Jo Crowell, a certified Kundalini Yoga Instructor and Publisher of Dallas Yoga Magazine. AJ also teaches Kundalini Yoga at Horizon on Tuesday nights at 7:00 p.m.

Live Stream Meditation 101 Workshop

Cost: $15 per person

Practicing meditation daily offers numerous life-changing benefits: greater control over reactivity and anxiety, improved sleep, and greater brain capacity, to name a few. Meditation 101 will teach you all you need to create an at-home meditation practice. This class focuses on the practical tools – the “how-to” of meditation.
You will also receive some guidelines on how to make meditation a daily habit, as well as how to set a personal intention for your practice.

Horizon is proud to offer this workshop taught by one of our most beloved teachers, Megan Poakeart. She is a yoga instructor and meditation coach. She has a passion for making yoga and meditation approachable and welcoming to everyone who enters her class. Her encouraging, friendly and simple approach helps her students feel comfortable while learning these life-enriching practices.

Her goal is to serve her students by passing along the mind-body benefits she has received through her yoga and meditation practice and studies over the past 20 years.
