Raj found yoga and meditation at a young age upon advice of her mother to help with anxiety growing up. A lifelong student, Raj has been practicing hot yoga for 15 years and teaching full time for 7 years. She graduated from the Raja Yoga Academy in Spring 2017 and is an E-RYT 500 through Yoga Alliance. She holds certifications in the 26+2, Yin, Vinyasa and other fitness modalities. Currently, she is pursuing certification to become a yoga therapist and excited to take this deep dive into her yoga studies. Prior to teaching yoga, she was a professional music educator in the Dallas/Ft. Worth and Austin areas for over 10 years teaching percussion. In her free time she enjoys anything involved with music, reading and finding the best food in town!
